Evelina Children's Hospital
Concerts Two concerts to celebrate the building of the
new Evelina Children's Hospital at St Thomas' Hospital. They will feature the
world premier performances of a major new work by Bob Chilcott, Songs
for seven storeys, which has been specially commissioned for Stephen Jones
and the City Chamber Choir to mark the occasion. The City Chamber Choir will be
supported in the performances by children's choirs from Lambeth and by members
of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The 16 March performance will be in the
Atrium of the new Evelina Children's Hospital itself in front of an invited
audience; the 17 March performance will be in the Ballroom of the Royal
Festival Hall, and will be open to members of the public free of
charge.
